Just got our mail in and we have been sent a letter from greenbelt about our outstanding balance. We have 7 days or they are going to take action, outside debt recovery etc. Anyone else get one lol
Yeah, we got ours today too. Have phoned to discuss lack of work and they denied ever having had contact from us before. Not too sure how to proceed.... The letter is pretty intimidating.
They also said they had no record of anyone in the estate complaining about the work. My call today was, in their opinion, the first they've heard from this estate. Unbelievable!

I've still not had any answer as to why the last round of debt recovery threats, from an outside agency not intenal to Greenbelt like this one, petered out without any follow up. I've a feeling this is another desperate attempt to put the frighteners on us non-payers.
There's a load of information on there about how unprofessional and desperate Greenbelt are getting on this now, including a couple of unbelievably childish and petty outbursts from the Director's of Greenbelt and ex-employees directly at individual householders, as well as info on Alex Salmonds demands for GB to hand back one of his constituency estates due to their incompetence.
Having seen one guy cutting the grass three times so far OUTSIDE the estate and having no evidence of them actually entering the estate to do any 'maintenance' my position won't change because of some empty threats in a letter.
As you know our house backs onto the 'waste ground' at the top side of the estate. I have not seen or heard anyone doing any 'maintance' in that area. so yea we are with you on that one.

I like the bit at the beginning which says my account
has just been passed to their Debt Recovery Unit.
It has taken them 5 to 6 years to realise that we have
not paid a penny to these Mobsters.
We will however send a reply.
It will not be polite.
As Brian has said , check the other sites to see how people,
like ourselves around the country , are dealing with these extortionists.
If anyone is still really worried then let us know & we could arrange to have
more meetings with our local politicians & the local press.
